BINANCE SMART CHAIN
HOW TO CONFIGURE METAMASK

4 SIMPLE STEPS

Just follow the quick steps below in order to configure your MetaMask Wallet to run on the Binance Smart Chain (source 1 and source 2).

1. Installing and setting up MetaMask

MetaMask can be downloaded on Chrome and Firefox, or on iOS and Android if you’re a mobile user.

Download MetaMask.

Write down the backup seed phrase somewhere secret. Without this phrase, your funds can’t be recovered if your device is damaged or lost.

2. Configuring the wallet

You might notice straight away that we’re still dealing with an Ethereum wallet. At best, this won’t work with Binance Smart Chain DApps. At worst, you could lose funds by sending them to addresses you can’t actually use.

Let’s change that. We want to access the Settings to point the wallet towards Binance Smart Chain nodes.

Select Settings from the dropdown menu.

3. Locate the Networks menu

Next, follow along with the setup specified by the app. Go ahead and click Create a Wallet. Write down the backup seed phrase somewhere secret (preferably not on an Internet-connected device). Without this phrase, your funds can’t be recovered if your device is damaged or lost. Confirm that you’ve written them down on the next page.

And that’s it! You should now see your wallet, ready to send and receive funds.

4. Configure Mainnet

Binance Smart Chain Mainnet, aka BSC MAINNET

Network Name: Smart Chain

New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/

ChainID: 56

Symbol: BNB

U

Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com

Enjoy instant and inexpensive transactions!

You can now send BNB to you wallet from your Binance account (BNB > Withdraw > Binance Smart Chain (BSC), or use Binance Bridge, the safe, fast and most secure way to bring cross-chain assets to Binance chains. (see below for more details).

HOW TO BRIDGE FUNDS TO BSC

1. Go to Binance Bridge

Go to bridge and send some ETH to your BSC address. This can be your same ETH address, another MetaMask account, (or any ETH wallet you control the keys to and can change RPC connection) – once you connect your wallet to BSC, you can basically operate with the same addresses.

2. Send assets cross-chain

Connect your MetaMask wallet to the bridge once it is connected to the right network: “Binance Smart Chain“. Once you send ETH to the address labeled as “Destination”, the bridge will send it first to a Binance address from where it will be sent to you BSC wallet, and show as Binance Peg Ethereum Token.

It is now important that you select the following option:

Z

I want to swap some BNB gas in this order

3. Welcome to the other side!

Now that you have the Binance version of ETH and some BNB, you can go to Pancakeswap and trade “ETH” for any token, like… more BNB, to buy BUFFI.

You can now place a small test buy order on https://app.buffalo.finance to make sure everything works as expected.
